FAQ
All our electrically powered vehicles use cheap mains electricity. The average cost per full charge is about 50c.
Why an Electric bike
a). Hills
A good electric bike flattens hills, it’s one of the major functions of these bikes; it should not take much more effort to climb a hill as to travel on the flat
b). Environmental & Green
The amount of energy used is very small compared to a moped, motorcycle or car. It's hard to place calculations produced by environmental engineers in your own every day thinking, think of a 100 watt electric light bulb burning for one night, that's enough energy to propel one of our bikes for about 40 miles, how about that for value.
c). Resale Value
Evidence points to a much better resale value than a conventional bike. An electric bike from us costs €699 to €1200, but these bikes hold value very well & much better than normal bikes.
d). No Fuss Transport
This is one of the biggest factors in electric bicycles in our view, NO ROAD TAX, NO COMPULSORY INSURANCE, NO DRIVING LICENSE, NO NCT. It is a bit hard to take in when we are all so used to being ripped off for every mile we travel here, so get rid of that second car & get the family on these bikes.
All our bikes legally exempt you from the above normal requirements for transport under EU legislation
FAQ
Q: Are electric scooters easy to ride±
A: There's a small learning curve with an electric scooter. However, like riding a bicycle, the best thing to do is just get on and give it a try. However, like most things, the more you ride an electric scooter the more you'll start to push the boundaries and test out the performance capabilities. Remember, always wear a helmet.
Q: Will I get tired trying to get where I'm going±
A: No, that's the beauty of the electric scooter. As long as the battery has power in it, you will be able to glide along without using any additional energy. Like any
motorized vehicle, if you are going up a steep hill, you may need to push a little bit. This will depend on the steepness of the hill and the strength and power of your scooter.
Q: Are electric scooter safe±
A: Like any vehicle, if you something foolish and you'll probably get hurt. Ridden under normal conditions however, the electric scooters are as safe as a bike or skateboard. Avoid cars and wear a helmet or other safety gear to minimize the risk of injury. Also you can take extra safety precautions in order to minimize the risk or injury.
Q: How do electric scooters handle bumps in the road±
A: A small tip here - bigger is better. The large diameter wheels clear gaps in concrete or pavement that would hang up a skate wheel or a scooter with smaller wheels. Most electric scooters also handle well in gravel and small terrain features. We don't recommend slamming electric scooters into a curb to get over it like some people do with their bike. This could result in damage to the electric scooter. Simply Ollie up a curb and keep going.
Q: How fast do electric scooters go±
A: The speed of electric scooters can vary. Most electric scooters travel up to 15 miles per hour(25kmp). Other electric scooters travel at speeds up to 25 mph(45kmp). You don't want to get a scooter that travels too fast or goes too slow. Select the scooter type based on your goals and riding preferences.
Q: How do you know the battery status and conditions±
A: Electric scooters have battery charge indicators or gauges to display the battery charge similar to those in an internal combustion vehicle
Q: Do I need a driving licence and insurance for an electric bike±
A: Electric bicycles do not require a license.
Q: What are the advantages of an electric scooter±
A: Electric scooters run on electricity from batteries that offer freedom from high oil prices, have very low pollution, low maintenance. Not only low running costs but also do not need ignition, just start up and off you go!
